We can meet in person, over the phone or via video…whatever works best for you. Let’s discuss your event, your vision, your story. We’ll show you past work, paper samples, ink colors, printing options, etc. together we’ll come with ideas for your perfect invitation.

after our meeting we’ll put together a proposal - which will include an estimate. Because we create everything from scratch, this will be based specifically on your project.

If everything looks good on your proposal we will send over our contract for you to sign. We also require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your project. Once your contract and deposit are received the fun begins!

Let the sketching, painting, and fabricating some crazy idea begin!

Initially you’ll receive three design concepts for your invitation. After receiving your feedback we then develop your full suite. Proof, proof, proof, revise, revise, revise…From here we go back and forth fine tuning the design and wording until the invitation is perfect for you.

Once perfect we ask for a signed approval form, fianly quantity and invoice balance.

Your design is off to come to life!

At GBDC we draw, paint and create the majority of the art used on our invitations. We conceptualize ideas for invitations out of material such as glass, wood, leather, acrylic, and more. We sew, build and produce items that you see in our projects. We do this because we are passionate about what we do and we belive invitations are art. Because we do everything ourselves, things take time. So please note, it does take a little bit from the time you sign your contract until you see your first concepts.

plates, paper, ink, oh my!

your files have been sent off to the printer, plates are being made, paper is being ordered, ink is flying about… depending on your project complexity the invitations will take anywhere from 2-6 weeks for production.

Rushes are available for a fee. Please inquire with us on timing and pricing for rush.

if you don’t want to pain of hand addressing your invites we offer addressing services. While your invites are in production this is the perfect time for us to be working on your guest list - formatting and fine tuning to etiquette. we offer in-house addressing via computer and printer - and we also offer calligraphy services through our talented list of local artists.

Please note, calligraphers book months out, so please let us know at our inital meeting if this is something your interested in.

things are getting real!

Once the invitations are back from the printer and any assembly is complete, the invitations are ready for pick up at the studio or we can ship them directly to you for an additional fee.

don’t have time to mail out your invitations? We also offer mailing services. we will stuff, stamp and send your invitations for an additional fee. All you have to do is sit back and wait for the reply cards to roll in!
